Surf Side Cottages began as a cottage colony in the 1940s and has welcomed generations of families and friends ever since. Just a short walk from resident-only Lecount Hollow Beach, the mid-century modern cottages are perfect for a family getaway or for groups who want to stay in separate cottages while vacationing together. Returning to the same week each summer has become a cherished tradition for many.

Breakers is the closest three-bedroom cottage to the path through the dunes to the beach—just a straight, five-minute walk through the sand, beach grass, and shrub pines to the water. You can hear the ocean surf clearly from inside the cottage and out on the patio, making it easy to settle into the sounds and rhythm of the coast.

Inside, Breakers retains its original mid-century charm, with knotty pine walls, blue hardwood floors, and an indoor wood-burning fireplace that sets the stage for cozy evenings after a day at the beach. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for relaxed summer meals, along with thoughtful extras like a coffee grinder, waffle iron, blender, and even oyster forks.

Step outside and you’ll find an enclosed patio, an outdoor fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs, a park-style camp stove, and an outdoor shower—everything you need for easy, carefree beach living. The shed is stocked with beach chairs and skimboards for guests to use, so you can simply grab your gear and head down the path to the water.

Breakers is truly set up for the kind of Cape Cod getaway you’ll want to return to: slow mornings, sandy afternoons, seafood dinners, cozy fireplace evenings, and nights gathered around the fire pit. It’s an inviting, wonderfully relaxed spot where the beach is close, the ocean is always within earshot, and there’s plenty of time to simply enjoy unhurried dune living.

Pets allowed before Memorial Day and after Labor Day.

Non-refundable $150.00 fee (includes administrative fee and damage waiver assurance) plus cleaning fee and applicable state and local taxes. Bring your own linens and towels.
