KC and the Sunshine Band is an American disco and funk band founded in 1973 by Harry Wayne Casey ("KC") in Hialeah, Florida. They are pioneers of the disco genre, known for an array of dance-ready, horn-laced hits in the 1970s that have sold over 100 million records worldwide.
