The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster presents Wild about Wildlife with Alyssa Giaquinto and Bella the Barn Owl from the Giaquinto Wildlife Rehabilitation CenterFriday, November 28, 2025 at 11am

Learn about native wildlife and what you can do to help protect local animal species with wildlife rehabilitator Alyssa Giaquinto and Bella, the Barn Owl. Alyssa will talk about the importance of wildlife rehabilitation and the many species she works to save, including raptors like Bella. Meet Bella up close and learn why raptors are nature’s best pest control. Then, dissect one of Bella’s pellets and piece back together the skeletons you find to learn what animals Bella eats each day.

Alyssa Giaquinto has been a wildlife rehabilitator for six years, licensed through MassWildlife and the US Fish and Wildlife Service. She has rehabilitated hundreds of animals, and she channels her expertise into educating the public about how to safely co-exist with and conserve native wildlife. Together, Alyssa and Bella the Barn Owl have presented programs for all ages, continuing their mission to educate as many people as possible about the importance of healthy ecosystems that support raptors and all wildlife.

Appropriate for Ages 4+
