This charming Dennis Port cottage has everything you need for a relaxing Cape Cod getaway! The updated interior feels bright, clean, and welcoming, with comfortable furnishings and a well-equipped kitchen. The private backyard, gas grill, and outdoor shower are wonderful touches for summer living. Being so close to the beautiful beaches of Nantucket Sound, along with local restaurants and shops, makes the location especially appealing. A cozy, thoughtfully furnished cottage that looks perfect for a family vacation or a peaceful coastal escape!

This cottage is on a quiet street in easy walking distance of the beach, neighborhood grocery stores and restaurants. We enjoyed the nice deck with grill, outdoor shower, and large back yard. The updated kitchen is wonderful and all appliances work well. We would prefer a regular toaster to the older toaster oven provided in the cabinet. There is a bright overhead light in the kitchen, but only small table lamps to light the living room and bedrooms. Room air conditioners keep the house cool. We would have liked to also have the option of having the windows open at night. Beds are comfortable and so is the living room furniture. The couch pictured is smaller than the large one that we found blocking access to the front door.

Manager's Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We’re so glad you enjoyed the convenient location, the backyard and deck, and the updated kitchen. We appreciate your thoughtful suggestions about adding a standard toaster, improving lighting in the living areas, and allowing for better window access. We’ll be sure to share these notes with the homeowner so we can continue improving the guest experience.
We’re thrilled you found the beds and living room furniture comfortable and hope we’ll have the chance to host you again soon! -DM

Quaint Cottage in Cape Cod central to everything. Great place to relax and chill after a long day exploring the sites and activities around the Cape. The only issue we had was no lights beyond lamps in the bedrooms and living room. Clean and well appointed, so overall we really enjoyed our stay here.

Manager's Response

We are so happy you got to kick back and relax in this great cozy cottage! We will share your feedback about the lighting with the homeowner. Maybe some added lamps would be helpful. Thank you for booking with us! MC

We had a fantastic week. The house is adorable and the yard is beautiful! We loved the area and Glendon Road Beach being so close. We did come up with a few minor suggestions, but overall enjoyed our stay. We did find teeny tiny ants around the kitchen sink, but saw ant traps so figured that the issue was being addressed. We found a lack of lighting especially in the living room for reading and near the washer and dryer. We absolutely loved the patio and ate out there most of the time. The outdoor shower was great but we did notice that water was leaking outside the house from the indoor shower when it was in use. Lastly, though the living room furniture is lovely and fits the decor, it is not terribly comfortable. A small sectional would work perfectly. We found the house very clean and very charming.

The house was cute, cozy, clean. It was perfect for the 3 of us. The kitchen is small for 2 to cook in but we made it work. The beach was in walking distance that was a plus. The neighbors were friendly and the neighborhood was quite. We went to just relax and for that everything was perfect. I would definately rent this house again.

It was dark, old, not clean. There were bugs probably from the screens on the windows that were old and ripped. I was sleeping in one of the rooms and an earwig bug crawled on my hand while I was falling to sleep. It was dusty and had cobwebs everywhere. The bath room was too small. We tried to use the washer and dryer but it was in a small closet and there was no light near it to see what we were doing. It was a stressful vacation staying in this house.

Manager's Response

Yikes! We have searched our records and do not find reports of any of these matters. We are sorry that you found this charming little home to be so unwelcoming to you.
Each year the owner has made improvements to the property. Surely, windows will be one of the next projects. The interior of this home was renovated 4 years ago. And, yes, we will agree that the bathroom is small, however, the total square footage of the entire home is 616 sq. ft.
Perhaps a gander on our website will find something a bit more to your liking for next time! Thank you for your feedback.

Very nice. From ease of check-in to assistance on missing gas for the outdoor grill. House was comfortable, clean, and had many updates - new kitchen, etc. Could use a new bed - very uncomfortable. Room for five, but we had two which was perfect for us. The second bedroom had a twin and bunk beds which would be good for young children but not teenagers. A short walk to the beach - less than 15 minutes. Great time to visit the Cape - mid-late September.

Manager's Response

We appreciate your feedback, Tom! We will share with the homeowner!

The cottage overall was very cute. The renovations were done nicely in the kitchen and main family room. Our pros - Glendon St Beach is within walking distance (.6 miles) but not having a beach pass was a con. Other cottages come with a beach pass to park at local beaches. We did end up paying the $20 to park a few times just because we had so much stuff with a young kid. The cons were not major but this would be our list: 1) the bedroom closet smelled REALLY musty so we could not hang any of our clothes. 2) There was no dish rack, laundry detergent, or trash bags. If we had known, we would have brought some from home. We did bring linens as that was specified in the listing. 3) There were lots of spiders which made our daughter terrified. We ended up leaving a day early because she found a bunch if baby spiders on her wall and ceiling the night before we left and couldn't sleep.

Otherwise, we really enjoyed the location. We recommend the food at Doghouse which is so close you can walk for excelled fish sandwiches, specialty hotdogs, and tots. We also loved Joe's Pizza.

Manager's Response

Yikes! So sorry to hear this! Next time please give the office ring to see if we can assist with issues! We will share this with the homeowner as well!

My husband and I stayed here for one week and had a pleasant stay. This small cottage was tinier than we expected but was clean and in a nice area. It met our needs for a full kitchen and washer and dryer but the main bedroom was a bit smaller than expected so the second room was handy for storing our belongings. We felt that the house could use some better lighting - some of the table lamps did not provide good light as the rooms did not have overhead lighting. The kitchen was great and we enjoyed the patio outside. We loved that it had an outdoor shower! A good choice for two people for a short stay!

Manager's Response

Great feedback, thanks for sharing!

The house was exactly what we wanted, the outdoor space was event better than the listing showed, there's a huge back yard that would be perfect for little kids to run around. Great location, lovely neighbors, can't say enough great things!
