Surf Side Cottages began as a cottage colony in the 1940s and has welcomed generations of families and friends ever since. Just a short walk from resident-only Lecount Hollow Beach, the mid-century modern cottages are perfect for a family getaway or for groups who want to stay in separate cottages while vacationing together. Returning to the same week each summer has become a cherished tradition for many.

Ocean Breeze is the closest of the Surf Side cottages to gorgeous Lecount Hollow Beach, putting you just a short stroll from the sand and sea. Follow the easy path over the sand and through the dune grass, and in just moments you’ll arrive at the beautiful ocean beach. It’s hard to imagine a more convenient way to enjoy a classic Wellfleet beach vacation.

This sweet cottage offers easy, comfortable one-story living with all the charm of a traditional Surf Side cottage. Inside, the original knotty pine and preserved mid-century modern style create a warm sense of history, while the updated kitchen and comfortable furnishings bring a fresh, contemporary feel.

When you’re not at the beach, relax in the screened porch and let the ocean breeze drift through, or gather around the fire pit in the evening as the day winds down. Outside, life is wonderfully easy—sand, sea, fresh air, and plenty of time to simply enjoy being here.

Ocean Breeze is the quintessential cottage-by-the-sea getaway: close to the beach, cozy and comfortable inside, with the relaxed spirit of the Surf Side cottage colony. Come for the ocean, stay for the charm, and settle into the wonderfully easy pace of summer in Wellfleet.
