The main level of the home features an updated kitchen and open layout with Cape Cod décor. There is a dining table off the kitchen and a comfortable living area. The first bedroom offers a queen sized bed, the second features 1 twin and 1 twin trundle (sleeping up to 3) and the third bedroom offers a queen sized bed with en suite half bath. There is also a full bath on the main floor. In the finished, walk out basement is a TV seating area with a double pull out sleeper sofa for extra sleeping, as well as air hockey and foosball tables for rainy day fun! Outside is a spacious deck complete with outdoor furniture and a gas grill, as well as an enclosed outdoor shower. Located a little under a mile to Harwichport center with shops and restaurants, about 1 mile to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, close to Go-Carts, trampolines, bumper boats & bumper cars, and a little under 1.5 miles to popular Bank Street beach on Nantucket Sound. The only thing we had a problem with was quality of the beds and the fact that the front storm door wouldn't close as the door closer wasn't installed properly. Also there were 2 other storm doors that were installed with the locking mechanism on the outside as opposed to the inside. Weather stripping on the front door allowed cold air in. This wouldn't have happened if the storm had closed properly. The side-slope in the driveway made it difficult to access our car topper(but probably needed for winter drainage).
Manager's Response
We are so sorry you were not satisfied with the comfort of the mattresses. All of the mattresses were purchased 3 years ago and are only used for a few months during the summer. There are thick foam mattress pads on the beds for those who prefer more of a cushion.
The home was set up nicely. Great location.
One of the bedrooms had a giant human hair ball on the floor as soon as we arrived as if the room wasn’t cleaned.
The shower didn’t work for the first 4 outof 7 days we were scheduled to be there, with staff having to be called each day with a new issue to send someone, or send a new plumber.
The 6th day there was water coming from the ceiling and a flooded hallway, resulting in my family losing a night of stay and leaving early.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We can certainly agree that the mechanical issues you encountered did not bode well for the perfect vacation. However, even though you may have seen more of the rental staff than you cared to on your vacation, you must admit they were responsive; and the owner was gracious enough to agree to a credit for your inconvenience, and; when additional compensation was requested, the company agreed to share in the credit for the lost night. So we're a little confused by the 1 star. In any event, we hope to see you again next year with your latest addition! Have a great rest of the summer.
