48 years ago, Steven Spielberg traveled to Martha’s Vineyard to begin production on the film that would scare away a generation on beachgoers from the water: Jaws. Today, the fascination with sharks on Cape Cod remains as strong as ever.

Atlantic White Shark Conservancy

The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy (AWSC) was established to support white shark research and education programs to ensure that this important species thrive. They work directly with the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries to support current and long term white shark research projects.

AWSC is home to the Chatham Shark Center which offers interactive exhibits, videos, displays, and virtual reality experiences.

Cape Cod Shark Adventures
