This 4 bed 2 bath home situated on a grassy area, with the pond just minutes away, is cozy and comfortable, full of private reading nooks and sitting alcoves, a wonderful vacation home! It abuts the National Seashore on nearly 3 acres of rolling hills, with a footpath leading to Ryder Pond. A 20 X 23 foot outdoor brick patio with a new dining table and comfortable chairs complement this lovely home! It's a fabulous gathering place for cookouts and socializing with friends.
Main level: Enter the living room from a front door or sliding doors off the patio. The sunny room has a vaulted ceiling and raised brick fireplace (not for use), a colorful stained glass window hangs above the sliding doors to the deck. The flooring is Portuguese tile. The dining area leads to a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, wall oven, cook top and microwave. Completing the main level are bedrooms 1 & 3 with a full bath. Hardwood floors throughout the bedroom areas with tile in the bath. A delightful stained glass window graces the bathroom.
Upper level: An open stairway leads to bedrooms 2 & 4 and full bath (with a reading nook in between, stocked with books!). There is also a den for reading, watching TV, or just relaxing. Wood flooring is in the bedrooms and tile in the bathroom.
The washer and dryer are in the basement area. This lovely home close to Ryder Pond has everything to offer the family: location, amenities, comfort.
Non-refundable $250.00 fee (includes administrative fee and damage waiver insurance) plus applicable state and local taxes. Linen package is available at additional cost upon request.

My extended family and I have been renting this beautiful home every year for about the past ten years. The house is spacious, comfortable and well-equipped, with ample bedrooms, unmatched outdoor space including a large brick patio with a fireplace and brand new (in 2022) gas grill, and all new (in 2022) outdoor furniture. The property is historic and gorgeous, reminiscent of a 19th century family farm. The property owner clearly cares about the home and its surroundings. The home is well cared for, and there are upgrades of some type each time we return. We hope to rent this property for another 10 years and beyond. To the property owner: thank you for sharing your home with us, and to Cape Shores, thank you for representing this fine vacation house.

We just had our 6th week long visit to this house late July. It has been a great fit for our 5 children. Plenty of space to spread out. Over the years the owner had made many new improvements: outdoor shower, new skylights, new windows, near larger foot stoop/step, new screen doors etc. Lots of room for kids to roam and get away from each other. The proximity to Ryder Pond can't be beat. We value the privacy and seclusion that this property offers. For us this is like a home away from home.

That should say it all. The house is simply furnished and a little rustic but comfy. Great view of open meadow and woods from the outdoor patio. The real plus is the short footpath to Ryder Pond. If you are looking for a very upscale posh house this is not it. If you are looking for a simple comfy house with a great view and a quiet private country ambience- this is it.
Barefoot walks to the pond. Beautiful yard for relaxing. Blackberries in August. Lots of room for family. The best outdoor shower. Access to ocean, bay, dirt roads, and Wellfleet's many charms. These are among the reasons we love staying in this special house.
