"Ocean Breeze Guest" house is located on a quiet street around the corner from Chase Ave and a block from W. Harwich . The house, with it's salmon colored door, is the first house on the left on Caleb St. The site is superb with its proximity to Sea View Beach (150 yards) and Inman Beach (200 yards). The eat in kitchen is complete with all amenities to facilitate an enjoyable vacation. If you call ahead, Stop & Shop will steam your lobsters, ready for pick-up in a couple of hours. Ocean Breeze Guest House has a comfortable living room with a brick fireplace. The primary bedroom with king bed and ensuite bath (shower), a room with a queen, and an additional bathroom with a combo tub shower are all on the main floor. There is another bedroom with with two twin beds on the second floor. Each Bedroom plus Living room has a TV. There is central air for your comfort on first level and window AC on second floor. Be sure to take advantage of the yard amenities including an outdoor shower, clothes line, grill, and picnic table. Children will delight in the pond with birds, ducks, and other small wildlife passing through. Ocean Breeze is a happy place with freedom for children to run & play in the large yard. The Cape is jam-packed with things to do and so many things to see; swimming and sunning , shopping & sightseeing, day trips to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket to name a few. You may want to explore other beaches such as W. Dennis beach, one of the finest beaches on the Cape and only few miles away! Looking for something real special ? Treat yourself to a romantic picnic on the beach at sunset or include the whole family. After a busy day you might choose to relax on the lawn under a big shade tree with a book, cool drink, and dinner sizzling on the grill. In the evenings you can walk to our famous Sundae School Ice Cream Parlor for a Cape made frozen treat. There is parking for 3 cars. This charming house, with a mix of sea, sand, and country life, is a rare Cape experience. We invite you to explore Cape Cod and create memories you and your group will cherish forever. Dogs allowed at a $150 per dog per per week. Sorry, no cats for allergen reasons. Non-refundable $250.00 fee (includes administrative fee and damage waiver insurance) plus applicable state and local taxes. Linen package is available upon request

Loved the location! Could not have been better. But the cottage disappointed in many ways. All of the beds were extremely uncomfortable. All of woke up every day hunched over in pain in our backs, hips and shoulders. At that price you expect some level of comfort seeing you sleep a third of your stay. There was a definite mold issue happening which looked like they were trying to cover up. Mold stains on the ceilings and some on the windows. The AC units upstairs were old and dirty. Did not seem healthy at all. The central air downstairs had to stay on 73 per instructions which really did not cool at all. The only outdoor space was an old and tired picnic table. Again at this price you expect more. We had children who wanted to watch tv and is was stripped down cable. Made for a lot of tears. The Wi-Fi was terrible. Had a work zoom call and was unsuccessful in getting on. This could be a gem of a place if the owners put money into making it comfortable for their renters.

I hate to write this review because we did enjoy our experience for the most part, however, we won't be returning. The house itself is perfect size for our family and the pool table and ping pong tables in the basement are a welcomed addition! The two main problems we encountered... the house smelled musty/mildewy when we arrived. It was obvious that it had been cleaned and thankfully the owner was there to let us in since the previous renters had not left the keys in the lockbox. We were really struggling with the smell and had to open all the windows and doors. It turned out that the dehumidifier was not turned on, so once that was addressed the smell seemed to disappear. The only problem is that you need to manually dump the water from the dehumidifier because if you leave it to drain by itself, the smell comes back. The second issue is the wifi. It is basically non-existent. The router is in the owners house next to the rental so unless you're in the kitchen the wifi doesn't work. Which is a problem because as noted in another review, the cable is basic, and by basic, not much more than what you get with an antenna. We used our own fire stick and hot spot to stream shows for the kids. There is also not a great area to relax outside, one wooden picnic bench and wire fencing for pets. I will say the location is amazing and made trips to the beach very easy. If the owners made some minor changes, we'd consider returning.
